Re-fit of a 1952 Abeking-Rasmussen Yawl "Sea Lion"  

The first Owner of the yacht Sea Lion was Gilbert Verney. He was a member of the New York Yacht Club and had Sea Lion built specifically for the Bermuda Race. He did not quite won it but did the Great Venona Trophy in 1954. 

In 1956 the yacht was bought by the mother of one my friends and sailed to Portugal, until bought by an Englishman that took her to the Mediterranean later selling it to a Greek in the early 1980's. 

Sea Lion was bought and sailed to England for a Re-fit at SYS in 2009 and sailed back to Portugal in 2011.
